Medication for Anxious/Nervous Patients

  • After initial consultation with the doctors regarding the need for anti-anxiety premedication, doctor may elect to provide the patient with mild intraoral sedative medication (benzodiazepines in child dosage for adult patient). Our previous clinical experiences have found this medication in small dosage is very effective in reducing and overcoming the mild to moderate dental fear in many of our patients. Many report to us that they are more relaxed prior and during the dental treatment.
  • We do not provide general anesthesia or twilight (laughing gas) sleep, as they carry inherent higher risk of complication.
